That’s it! On the 23^rd^ of November of 2009 (last Monday) we finally made what we wanted for a long time: presenting ourselves to the world (putting it on lab terms: puts “Hello World!” )!
In about 30min, Daniel made an excellent presentation of what the Zero Labs are about, what we’ve done and what we are looking forward to do. He gave an overview of each of our projects, our organization and work methodologies. By the way, I remember every one out there that we meet every Saturday at 15h00 – We don’t have a fixed location yet :( Until we have a better place, we adopted the V108 classroom (IST – Alameda Campus – Pav. Civil) whenever possible.
Because we came from the radio world we couldn’t not resist from recording the presentation. Our experimental vein lead us to record with two setups:
- With a Behringer B2 mic plus a tube based mic-preamp, recording it in a eee-pc (Ubuntu Karmic OS) with Audacity (zerolabs20091123_apresentacao_B2.ogg)
- With an Olympus digital recorder ( zerolabs20091123_apresentacao_olympus.ogg)
We also recorded the video but it was not edited yet and isn’t available. As soon as possible we will publish the video and the session slides (in portuguese and english).
No dia 23 de Novembro de 2009 (última 2ª feira) finalmente nos apresentámos ao mundo. Nós gravámos tudo e temos tudo nos dois ficheiros seguintes:
