Zero Labs is a R&D group within Rádio Zero dedicated to exploring radio-related technologies. We were formed as a natural consequence of the special context of community radio stations and the connection of Rádio Zero with Instituto Superior Técnico.
Zero Labs works on software tools for community radio stations' characteristics (low human and financial resources, based on community content and independent), as well as supporting other artistic projects carried by the station. Besides software, Zero Labs also explores the physical support for technology, modifying and building devices for electromagnetic radio broadcast.
Zero Labs promotes curiosity and a Do It Yourself spirit, supporting a culture of openness and sharing of our technological explorations and developments.
We meet every Saturday at 3PM at Instituto Superior Técnico.
